Okada Haru is a new Genin in Sunagakure. Though he is often lazy and rude, he has incredible potential to one day help bolster the village as one of its most powerful shinobi.

PERSONALITY

In a strange, complex way, Haru is a very considerate person. While he deeply cares for friends and family, he is indifferent to strangers or people that annoy him. While spectators of his behavior will call him inconsiderate, Haru perceives himself differently. He believes that he is very considerate; he considers how he should act amongst others so often that his rude or apathetic behavior to people is in fact the result of his analytical judgment. Many people are not capable of understanding this, and simply interpret Haru to be just another jerk.

Haru’s drive is just as complex as his compassion. Often, he is lazy and lethargic. Without the proper motivation or guidance, he may give up caring about his current task, or at least half-a** it. However, if Haru does indeed care about something, his behavior does a complete 360. He will be fiercely determined to accomplish his goal. Also, Haru always wants things to go according to plan or his desire, and is easily irked when life strays from his desired path.

Very independent and confident, Haru may come off as self-righteous. He has the potential to become narcissistic, but is not. This confidence, or perhaps arrogance, stems from consideration and judgment of other people. After comparing himself to the norm, he believes he is enlightened or simply better than average, and he prides himself into believing he’s special. When insulted or teased, he is prone to become angry or upset. He won’t resort to violence, but his verbal lashing can be quite fierce. He is no pushover, but is capable of being emotionally hurt and scarred like any other person.

These facets of his personality create a complex, difficult to understand character. However, his closest friends and family would be able to fathom his behavior and see his true nature.

HISTORY

Haru was born to two Sunagakure Chuunin, Okada Setsuna and Shin, in late February. He was a very friendly baby. He did not whine when he was refused things, yet he whined ruthlessly around simple strangers. This behavior evolved into what would soon be known as Haru's rude honesty about how he viewed others.
Haru was entered into Sunkagakure’s academy when he was seven. While he was in the Academy, Haru proved to be a promising boy. He was very determined to score well, and his grades were top-notch. He had friends, yet these relationships were not so strong, as his classmates eventually became fed up with Haru’s unrestrained behavior. Thus, he preferred to be a loner for most of his childhood. When he was fourteen, he graduated from the academy and earned the title of Genin.

Description: A ninjutsu technique utilizing the earth element. This technique allows the user to control nearby stone and rock. When the ninja forms the needed handseals and slams their palm to the ground, surrounding rock will begin to churn and twist up, crushing all those trapped within it.
