PERSONALITY
Shy Jiro is quite withdrawn from those around him and dislikes being made the center of attention. He keeps most of his thoughts to himself and rarley participates in most group discussions. This does not mean that Jiro is cold towards those around him. Rather, Jiro is very caring towards his friends and will go great lengths with and for them. When it comes to introductions, Jiro is quite hesitant and self-conscious.
Loyal Jiro is very faithful to his friends and family. He is disgusted at the thought of betraying those close to him and tries completely to keep all of his promises. He is very obedient and respects his elders and superiors. When working with others, Jiro is very cooperative and works towards a common goal. He would never compromise a comrade for his own selfish sake.
Thoughtful Jiro is very understanding and considerate. He is watchful of other's actions and feelings and will go to their side when they need help. Naturally, he is also very cautious and avoids charging into the unknown. Jiro likes to analyze a situation before taking action.
HISTORY Takahashi Jiro was born to a civilian mother and Jonin father of Sunagakure. His family was very well known for theis hospitality and boasted a large number of friendly connections. Jiro's father, Takahashi Zukan, was a very adept shinobi known for his skill in Kugutsu no Jutsu, the puppetry technique. Since Jiro was little, he would spend time with his father as he tweaked his puppets, and so became very interested in using Kugutso no Jutsu. His father told him that it was a difficult style of combat, even for a shinobi, and required one to have very unique characteristics. However, Zukan promised Jiro that if he successfully became a Genin, then Zukan would a very special present that would help him towards being a puppet user.
Jiro worked very hard at the Academy and slowly made a few close friends over the years. His grades weren't the highest in his class, but he was notably above the average grade mark. Also, being the person that he was, Jiro kindly lent his services to his friends and helped them in their shinobi studies as well. As a result, Jiro's classmate's took very kindly to him; his teacher even noted that he had inherited his father's generosity.
Finally, the time came when Jiro was promoted to a Genin rank. That day when Jiro returned home, his father was waiting for him outside the door. As a present for his hard work in study and as a congratulations, Zukan handed over a scroll to Jiro, saying that it was almost like a rite of passage into becoming the next great puppet user in the family. Jiro unraveled and activated the scroll, revealing one of his father's most cherished former puppets. Since then, Jiro has been practicing using puppets with his father, and hopes that he can be a great help for his Genin team.
INVENTORY Basic Shinobi Equipment Kunai [x10] Senbon [x15] Exploding Notes [x10] Soldier Pills [x2] Scrolls [x3] Wire [50 ft]
Name: Puppetry Tool Kit Type: Tool Kit Combat Usage: Supplementary Description: A tool kit that allows Jiro to repair and/or modify his puppets. It contains extra materials for puppet construction, numerable weapons for traps, and vials of special poison that Jiro can implement into his puppets. The tool kit is rather large and is kept in a scroll fastened inside a belt pocket along Jiro's waist. Using the scroll, Jiro can summon the kit when wandering or on missions.
Name: Zukan's Poison Type: Poison Combat Usage: Offense Description: A special poison that Takahashi Zukan gave to Jiro along with his puppet. Its a poison that Zukan himself designed, but does not exclusively belong to the Takahashi family. Its somewhat mild; since Jiro isn't as skilled as his father with Kugutsu no Jutsu, Zukan thought it would be better not to give him such an advanced poison. In order to generate effect, the poison must be consumed by the target or directly inserted into the bloodstream. Once inside, the poison takes several minutes to bring about results. The poison works by attacking muscular tissue using enzymes to break down cells. Overtime this will result in varying levels of fatigue, paralysis, and nausea. Vomiting of blood, weakness, and pain as a result of movement are also common side effects.
Name: Tourou Type: Puppet Combat Usage: Offense, Defense, Supplementary Description: A puppet used by Jiro. Its composition is similar to a strongly built athletic man. Tourou itself stands around 7 feet tall. Its head is rather square and sprouts gray, somewhat spiky hair that entends down to its shoulders. Its lower jaw can be dropped to expose a rapid-fire senbon launcher in the mouth. The checks of the puppet can also be pulled away from the mouth to reveal a set of thin, sharp fangs to pierce the opponent. The shoulders contain latches which can open toward the rear and expel clusters of smoke bombs that emit a foul scent. Tourou's torso is perhaps the puppet's most deadly weapon. Its chest can open up to expose a chamber that contains a dual kunai with exploding note launcher. Hidden in the stomach are two spare arms which can extend outward to attack the target. The arms are connected to a central rotating device inside the stomach chamber, thereby allowing the arms to be used and interchanged among all sides of the puppet. Inside each of the stomach-arms are katana blades that can be extended outward from the palms. Tourou has two main arms that aren't hidden as well. Both of these regular arms contain a propulsion device that can launch themselves at the target. The area of the arms that are launched resides just infront of the elbow, and are linked to the stationary part of the arms by a set of chains, which can be reeled in to reconnect the arms. Folded in each forearm is a pair of retractable, angular sickles that can be quickly propelled forward to attack the target. Lastly, every one of Tourou's bladed weapons, with the exception of the kunai and senbon launcher, are coated with Takahashi's Zukan's unique poison. Tourou is kept inside a large scroll that hangs horizontally across Jiro's back.
