SYNOPSIS

Seto is one of the numerous Tokubetsu Jōnin living within the devastating desert of Kaze no Kuni. Situated inside Sunagakure no Sato, Seto lives if life under the rule of the Kazekage. He is committed to his village, putting his life at risk whenever it is under threat. He specializes in medical techniques, utilizing his chakra control from his medical style to assist him with powerful Taijutsu techniques. His specialization for his rank consists in the Medical Unit.

PERSONALITY

Seto is the type of guy who always seems to be quite happy. Nothing seems to be able to get him down, well except serious moments such as death, and he is always seen with a large grin across his mouth. He tends not to keep his mind on things that have happened in the past, thinking only to the future. This helps him in thinking only good and happy thoughts, keeping the bad ones locked away forever. Of course, one day these thoughts could jump out at Seto and cause him to have a rampage of emotional anger. But, let us pray that it wont occur anytime soon, aye.

Being in the medical sector, Seto is always out to help people. Mending peoples bones and wounds seems to click something inside of Seto, that makes him feel at peace. Whenever he is sad, he will often take his mind off things by performing medical tasks. It gives him a certain ecstasy, that he absorbs and feels great after. This is why he is in the medical profession, to get this feeling. Though, if patients die on him while he attempts to heal them, Seto can fall into quite an emotional state. He will often feel quite down in the coming days, continuing to work on other patients to try and rid himself of the passing.

Seto loves to read through books. The main topics he enjoys reading are that of the human body. He likes to keep his brain flowing with knowledge of the human body, knowing most of the functions of the organs in the body. He is able to predict the state of something from reading these books. This is why he is often seen in his spare time, reading through books of the human body. Another thing he likes to study are medical practices. Things such as acupuncture seem to fascinate Seto, making him feel quite interested in learning about the various ways of healing the human body. He believes that he will do better out in the field and inside the hospital if he has a high level knowledge of the medical area and the human body.

Seto hates to see people die on him. It makes him feel less on the inside and he often questions whether he belongs in the medical profession if he can't save someone. Though this may be the case, it only stands for innocent people. If someone comes across Sunagakure, threatening the village or its people, Seto is willing to do anything to get rid of the person. With medical techniques and a strong taijutsu base, Seto is prepared for almost anything. When this happens, Seto can also be seen to get quite angry. You wouldn't want to be on the end of one of his punches whenever he is angered, could result in something quite unpleasant.

HISTORY

On an average, humid day in Sunagakure a baby was born to two civilians. They were simple and humble people, providing nothing special to the village with the things they did for a living. They built puppets, having a small shop inside the village. They were well known in their area for creating great, exotic puppets for just a small price. They were kind people, never cheating their way through life and always living every day as if it was there last. They believed that their son was able to do anything he wanted for his career.

Growing up, Seto showed a lot of interest in both of his parents professions. He loved the way the puppets clicked together and how they were able to function with the use of chakra. His parents weren't greatly skilled in the ninjutsu area, but they had some idea on how to manipulate puppets with chakra threads. He would often spend time in the workshop, watching his mother and father construct numerous puppets. He loved the way that each piece was significant to the way that the puppet functioned. He liked that. The puppet only needed a certain amount of pieces so that it could function, nothing more and nothing less.

As a child he would also explore through the village. He would walk through the desert roads, checking out the shops that were situated on the sides of the road. Seto loved to watch many of the homeless gamble while they were on the sidewalk, simply happy to be living and not caring if they had a home or not. Though, his mother would often find him and tell him not to head into such a bad area alone.

One day when he was out on his walks, he came across a large training facility. He hid behind some of the walls, concealing himself in the shadow as he looked onward. He could see numerous people training with each other, performing strange techniques by tapping into their affinity with elements. Seto couldn't quite understand it at first, but he thought this was really cool. That night he headed home, asking his parents what these people were. Before he went to sleep that night, he was told by his father what the ninja did and how they were useful to the village. He went to bed, dreaming about become a ninja one day.

As years passed, he was entered into the academy by his parents. Seto made quite a few friends the first day, as most were as shy and unprepared as he was. Some people however liked to brag about how much knowledge they already had about the ninja world. But, this was all fun and games.

Throughout his year in the academy, Seto discovered that puppets could be used in conjunction with ninjutsu techniques for weapons. He had never thought of this idea, as he believed that puppets were only used for the arts. Seto asked his parents whether they would construct a puppet just for him to practice with and use, they said yes of course.

As time passed, Seto became quite skillful with his puppet. He learned that he could add more things onto the puppet, to make it stronger. One day, this was one of the worst things Seto did in his life.

He was attaching a kunai shooter on the left arm of the puppet, when it malfunctioned and shot him in right eye. He fainted on the floor of his workshop, only to wake up a few hours later in hospital. The damage wasn't fatal, though Seto lost his right eye. He looked around on the hospital bed, thinking that he would never return to puppetry but take a new course in life. He watched through the window, surgeons and doctors in the next room healing people with their chakra. He wanted to be like them, so that he could heal the pain of others that had felt it just like he did. He wanted to become a medic ninja.

Returning to the academy, many people questioned him about his eye. At first, it was hard to handle. Half of his vision had been cut off, so he had to learn how to see constantly out of his other eye. He soon got used to it, being able to do most of the things that he could do before the accident. He never returned to the puppet workshop though, just bad memories lurched around there.

He gave up his puppetry, seeking out his Chuunin teacher to learn about ways to control chakra better. He had read that medical ninja had a strong chakra control. He learned various ways from his teacher, often spending most afternoons practicing these ways before going home. Soon, his chakra control became quite skillful.

At the age of twelve, Seto graduated from the ninja academy and became a Genin.

Seto was placed in a team with one boy and one girl. They both focused in ninjutsu techniques, utilizing the wind element. The boy controlled his with a large fan and a girl used her mouth and lungs to power hers. Seto seemed quite left out as he did not have any techniques just yet, and they already had some. Though, he had more chakra control then they did.

They would often perform chakra testing tasks, that their instructor set them. Some of the skills were to walk on water and to walk up trees. Seto got both of these tests the first time he performed them, while the others seem to lack the ability to even do it after the 10th time. He was quite pleased with himself, but when they dueled he would often lost thanks to only having the three basic academy techniques. This was hard at first for Seto, but soon he sought out the assistance of those at the local hospital.

He asked many of the doctors for jobs that he could do around the place. At first, most of them just ignored him as they said he should do something better with his time. One of the doctors did not do this however, taking Seto under his wing. He built a friendship with this doctor, learning many things about the medical area. He soon learned that this doctor was also a Jounin. Seto asked the man if he was able to teach him some of the basic techniques of a medical ninja. He was accepted of course.

After finishing his team training, Seto would often go and meet up with the doctor and learn about the medical area. They would often check out the many injured people that came into the hospital. Seto finally learned the most basic of the medical techniques. He learned how to heal bones. At first, it took some time for him to completely master the ability. But soon, he was able to heal wounds and mend bones back into place.

He was instructed by his medical tutor to read through various books about the human body. At first, Seto was quite interested in doing so. That was until he saw the size of the books. As his jaw dropped, the doctor patted him on the shoulder and told him that it would increase his knowledge of the medical area. He wanted to do the best he could, so he started reading through the many books. He soon picked up a liking for this and today it is still one of his main hobbies.

Soon his team were sent on various missions throughout the land, performing tasks for the Kazekage and the many villagers. On the missions, his team mates would often get injured and Seto would be the one healing them up. He loved doing it and looking at their faces as they saw themselves relying on Seto to get them better. Seto hadn't noticed that his strength had also doubled thanks to his chakra control to his hands, therefore when someone was running at him and he punched them in the face, he didn't except them to go flying back through the air 10 meters with a broken jaw and nose. And neither did his team mates.

Soon, Chuunin exams came around to bite them on the ass.

Everyone had high expectations of Sunagakure to do well in the Chuunin exams. Most people did not want to disappoint the villagers, so everyone wanted to do their best. Though that wouldn't be the case as only Seto's team was the ones to make it pass the first round from the village. His team was still going to try their hardest to beat the other Genin.

They passed the second test of the exam, all of them moving into the finals.

Seto was up against a ninja from Kusa. The smaller villages weren't known for possessing that great ninja at the start, so Seto kept most of his techniques up his sleeve until the tougher rounds. He disposed of the Kusa Genin quite easily, moving up to the finals of the exam. His next target, was a mysterious shinobi from Kirigakure no Sato. This was going to be quite hard, as he knew that Kirigakure possessed brutal ninja. But, Seto also had something mysterious up his sleeve.

Performing the chakra scalpel technique, Seto was able to cut the muscles and tendons of the Kirigakure Genin, immobilizing him for a finisher punch to the face to knock him out. And there it was, Seto was crowned victor and Chuunin of Sunagakure no Sato.

Seto extended his training into the medical career as he hit Chuunin. He spent most of his time at the hospital, helping out with the various victims that came into the doors. He dealt with many people, building up a slight hatred to see people hurt and injured.

He was also sent out on various missions, assisting as a healer for those who got wounded in combat. He was getting well known around the village for being quite a good medical ninja, assisting even ANBU when they were in need of healing. He built up a few friends in the higher ranks thanks to this, and many of them appreciated Seto's hard work. He loved helping people and healing them from all their pain.

He tried quite hard to remain in the eye of the Kazekage. He would often seek out the Kazekage for any other things he could do to assist the village out in anyway. Through this, he was appointed to the academy to teach young students. He took quite a high pride in his work, loving teaching all the students about the shinobi world. He would often ask if any of them wanted to seek out a career in the medical sector. No one seemed to be quite interested just yet.

Once he was finished in the academy, Seto studied a medical course. With his experience and high knowledge in the area, Seto was appointed one of the many doctor positions at the hospital. This was also thanks to the help of his previous tutor being the head of medicine at the hospital now.

He worked in the hospital for some time, before he was one day called to the Kazekage's office. He found out that he had been appointed Tokubetsu Jounin, able to study under one specialization which of course, was medical study.

Name: Chakra no Mesu - Chakra Scalpel

Description: Chakra no Mesu is a special Ninjutsu technique used by medical ninjas. After forming the needed handseals, the ninja will focus chakra to their hands. When their charged hands reach the body of their target, they can extend the chakra internally into the targets body to cut and neatly slice their muscles and blood vessels without harming the surface skin. This technique can be used in battle, but because of its hectic nature, the fine precision required for an instant kill is not feasible. Damage can still be done to the vital organs, but the technique should be used carefully in battle.

Description: Shikon no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique that uses a dead body to create the illusion of another living person. The ninja can either animate a normal dead person, or alter the appearance of the dead person to resemble another. Then using this jutsu they make the heart beat again, allowing them to control the actions of the dead body.
