SYNOPSIS

"Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves. - Confucius" A man driven by revenge for his comrades and family. He puts the safety of the village second to that of attaining the power needed to defeat his own inner demons as well as those that cause him the strife and pain from his past.

PERSONALITY

Kenji is a rather particular person who at times may seem overly calm, or arrogant to some he does have skill to back it up. He is the youngest member of the Kumogakure council which brings him great pride as does the fact that he was once a member of the Elite group of shinobi known as the ANBU. However inside he is fueled by a deep hatred of the bureaucracy that has been exhibited in the past by the previous Raikage and council members. His sword skills are also one of the reasons he is called the "Thunder God" as the speed at which he uses them can cause a small distortion in the pressure around the blades creating a small bang sound.

His caustic and rather unpleasant attitude have made him the perfect loner, and also had made him the perfect assassin in the ANBU years ago. His rather rude demeanor pushes people away simply for the sake that he believes relationships and bonds are easily used to his disadvantage and he can not have that. The fuel behind his training is the deep inner turmoil he faces from when he was a small child witnessing the massacre of his family and friends at the hands of an unknown assailant. These memories are both deep rooted and shockingly disturbing to the mental well being of Kenji.

Though he appears calm on the outside a fierce battle rages within his mind that he is always on the verge of losing. Because of his deep seeded hatred towards the assailant he has also developed a distrust of the villagers, other shinobi, a large dislike for the elders and the Raikage, and even borderline hatred for those who have friendships with other villages. He feels that the shinobi world is one full of sorrow, death, and pain and realizes that even in these times of peace, there are those countries and powers just waiting over the horizon to attack and destroy everything all over again.

Though his sanity has been questioned several times in the past by the Raikage's and Council members, they can not doubt his impeccable skill and mastery over his swords. Much was the reason he had been nominated for the position of the council seat. For they feared that if he had too much more outside influence pushed onto him it would cause his mind to break forming a disastrous outcome.

Kenji does not believe in right or wrong actions, only the strong and the weak. A folly some may consider, but it has never lead him astray before. Some even consider Kenji to be monster of Kumogakure that will eventually lead to its utter destruction, but tolerate him for now, while the monster inside of the boy is still caged inside.

HISTORY

Year 0- Birth

Kenji was born to two shinobi who had served the Raikage diligently. Both of his parents were considered to be two of the stronger Jounin in the village and even were council members. Being born to such prestigous members of the society often involved his parents to partake in perilous or extremely dangerous missions. This often left the child with his Uncle at the time. Though the family did not come from noble blood, the previous Raikage had given them the title of a noble family much to the disagreement of several well established clans and families. Even other elders disagreed with the actions of the Raikage, however his decision stood. As such the family was awarded a health raise in the parents earnings allowing them to buy a house near the outskirts of the village.

Because his family had acquired such wealth in such a short amount of time, it earned his family a reputation as a league of beggars, which has still to this day been the cause of many skirmishes between Kenji and fellow villagers. With their place secured in the village, the Ryuujin family seemed to be in a state of bliss until an event left but one survivor of the family.
