Kekkei Genkai/Hijutsu: Nanashikisaigan (literally seven color eye)This is the kekkei genkai of the Santinohiko clan. It is a jutsu of the eyes making it a doujutsu. It grants several different techniques that vary depending on the iris color that accompanies each technique. Most of the techniques granted are genjutsu and are very powerful and nearly impossible to break and resist by one’s self. All of the jutsu work by sending charka into the brain through the optic nerve of the victim therefore the blind are unaffected by the genjutsu of the nanashikisaigan, but anyone can fall victim to the ninjutsu of the kekkei genkai. Some colors come with a ninjutsu and several genjutsu with the genjutsu being the more important of them. Each color must be mastered before moving on to the next making the bloodline limit a very time consuming part of the users training. In order the colors are black, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, purple, and white. There is one other eye color that is more of a doujutsu in itself that consists of rapid changing of the iris color since the color spreads from the pupil outwards the effect is that of a scintillating rainbow, which is how the technique got its name.Another thing of note is that the color of the iris being used stands out more to the user. So while using the red iris, reds and pinks and the like become more vibrant. the clan specializes in genjutsu and taijutsu
Background: The clan was founded around the time of the first 2 hokages by Kizu Santinohiko, a student of Madara Uchiha. Kizu was devastated when he sensei was apparently killed but he could understand why he was killed. Although he was saddened he remained loyal to his village and attempted to make a jutsu that rivaled the Sharingan. He more or less suceeded by creating the Nanashikisaigan although it was not the same as the sharingan but had its own special abilities. He was unable to complete the full technique but 3 years after his death, his three sons who inherited the technique, managed to master in their father's place simply so that his dream could come to fruition. Because of the tie to Madara, the clan was mistrusted for some time but eventually after showing absolute loyalty and tue skill, they fell back into the good graces of all of the village. They were still on good terms with the Uchiha clan the entire time and worked well with members of this clan in the field.throughout the generations the bloodline began to appear in only some of the children of the clan and it was though that the Nanashikisaigan was going to die out but this, to many people's relief, was not the case. the clan members began to be sought out for their skill and ability to fight and subdue opponents instead of killing them. The clan has produced some of the greatest missing nin retrievers and hunter nin the village has ever seen because of that ability.

The members of the clan spend most of their time training in the use of the nanashikisaigan due to the fact that each level must be mastered before one can move on. they also practice taijutsu tirelessly because it works excellently in conjunction with their kekkei genkai. beyond that they use almost exclusively genjutsu but have been known to take on a few ninjutsu to supplement this weakness. Because of the importance of intelligence and observation skills in genjutsu, they study profusely alongside their training. it has been said that there has never been a stupid Santinohiko. Outside of ninja training the clan members excercise many different artistic skills like art, music, acting, and gardening. the non shinobi members of the clan have always made excellent advisors and teachers.the shinobi of the clan begin each training session with meditation to improve their minds and memorization abilities in order to make training more effective.
