Description: this doujutsu is done by expanding the pupil making the iris disappear. In doing this. the users chakra neutralizes colors making everything black and white and making movement the most obvious thing the user sees and widening their visual range to somewhere between 200 and 210 degrees depending on the skill of the user. More light is brought into the eye so they can see almost perfectly in darkness but are more or less blinded by intense light. Normal daylight does not cause the blinding effect but things like lightning and flash bombs do cause the user much pain and temporary blindness (a minute or more depending on how much of the light they are exposed to). This increase in ability to see movement greatly increases there defensive capabilities in taijutsu and against fast moving foes. Even the tiniest movement becomes extremely obvious.
Drawbacks:incredibly bright lights can blind the user for a few minutes.
Lasting Effects:
RED
The red hue is caused by the flooding of the iris with blood and infusing it with charka giving them a soft unnatural looking glow. The surge of blood gives the user a slightly noticeable bout of light headedness.

The finer the focus and the more charka used, the more intense the heat even making it possible for things to catch fire, melt or even near combust.
Drawbacks: While focusing on an area, the user's peripheral vision and everything not what they are focusing on becomes very blurry and unnoticeable unless it moves significantly
Lasting Effects: things effected remain destroyed,on fire if they can fuel a fire, and charred or whatever the effects of the jutsu would have on it.

Drawbacks:Requires eye contact for initial activation and it can be broken like a regular genjutsu but is usually slighty more difficult to break thanks to the Kekkei genkai.
Lasting Effects: victim’s body temperature is raised for a short while after the jutsu is broken

Drawbacks: a drastic change in mood can alert the victim to the fact that they are under a genjutsu but other wise none. Note that these effects do not give the user any form of control over what the victim does in their new emotional state.
Lasting Effects: the victims new state of emotion remains the same or intensifies depending on the circumstances until the effects wear off (generally takes about 20 minutes to wear off). The victim is also quite difficult to calm down as well.

Description: this genjutsu creates a blindspot for the user in the vision of the victim. Basically making the victim unable to see the user. This technique effectively removes the presence of the user from the mind of the victim. It goes beyond simple sight though, the victim can’t hear the victims voice or sounds the user makes if the user is familiar with the sounds and therefore nullify them. The greatest benefit of this technique is that as long as the user maintains the yellow eye, and uses this jutsu, the contact is maintained and the user can continue to send charka into the victims nervous system and cause them pain. If the user changes eye colors, however, the contact must be reestablished to be used again.
Drawbacks: requires eye contact to initiate and requires charka to cause the pain.
Lasting Effects: The victim’s pain can still be felt throbbing from the area that was given pain due to the fact that this is a ninjutsu and not a genjutsu.

Description: this genjutsu causes its victims to relive unpleasant memories for which they feel guilty and in the process they are physically paralyzed and most can’t break the genjutsu because most need to bring their hands together to refocus all of there charka and end it.
Drawbacks: obviously is a genjutsu but the overriding guilt of the victim makes this only a slight issue. Requires eye contact to initiate and does not effect those who have no guilt. (but really how many of those are there c’mon)
Lasting Effects:
GREEN
as with all of the different iris colors, this green is more that of a leaf green with a glow to it caused by the constant flow of chakra into the eyes. The color green represents poison, earth, and plants.

Description: This jutsu is one of the few jutsu granted by the Nanashikisaigan that require handseals. It runs chakra from the eyes of the user throughout their whole body and when these chakra empowered body parts strike home on the victim, a surge of the user’s chakra enters the victim’s body. This chakra is a malevolent effect because it like all foreign chakra to the body, disrupts the victims chakra network, temporarily stopping the flow of chakra to an area of that area of the body. when this technique is used the major areas of the body that need chakra to effectively fight are targeted: the arms, chest, legs, and head. Shutting of the flow of chakra to the brain makes it impossible for chakra to be focused at all because it is the area that controls chakra. The amount of time that chakra is stopped depends on the amount of chakra placed into the body, a lot of chakra can stop the flow for ten minutes, while a little may only do so for a few seconds perhaps deactivating a vital effect like clinging to a wall or standing on water or even the use of something like the Byakugan
Drawbacks: Can quickly drain the user of charka. Almost every strike transfers charka but the user has the option of withholding the charka and as long as the user’s charka is still circulating within their own body they are not spending it and therefore are not using up their charka reserves.
Lasting Effects: the victim’s chakra flow is halted and broken at the point of contact for a relatively short amount of time by the user’s chakra blocking the victim’s “friendly” chakra. This effect however never exceeds 10 minutes

Description: This genjutsu creates an illusory tree in the mind of the victim and slowly the leaves begin to fall off of the tree and as each one touches the ground, the victim forgets something. Each leaf is a different memory or thought and the victim may or may not notice what they forget. Things that can be forgotten can be anything: a jutsu, how to speak, how to control ones bowels, a name, a face, a handseal, or what a word means. the user of the jutsu has no control over what is forgotten making the jutsu a giant gamble but a very useful one. Each memory returns an hour after the leaf linked to it touches the ground. The tree has 300 leaves and a leaf falls to the ground every 10 seconds. The victim cannot break this jutsu on their own unfortunately and requires the help of an ally to stop the effects or if the user of the jutsu is killed.
Drawbacks: Requires eye contact to initiate, a large amount of chakra, and the “lost” memories are completely random. These memories are never things that directly kill someone (with the exception of how to hold one’s breath) like how to make your heart beat or how to breathe normally.
Lasting Effects: the victim’s memory is effectively gone for one hour.

This jutsu effectively makes the victim temporarily autistic and they receed into their mind seeing and hearing and feeling no one and nothing around them. The effect takes place in mere seconds but to the victim it feels like months on end with nothing to occupy their time.

Description: this jutsu causes the victim to cry profusely, more rapidly than normally possible there is a constant trickle of water flowing from the victims eyes. the victim slowly dehydrates as all of the water in their body is removed. This causes unconsciousness and serious organ damage after a while ultimately resulting in death if they do not receive medical attention soon after unconsciousness. It takes a few minutes for all the water to be expelled so for the full effect to take place the user must keep the victim busy long enough.
Drawbacks: The user must make eye contact with the victim and this jutsu requires quite a bit of chakra to use.
Lasting Effects:The victim becomes dehydrated and suffers the symptoms of dehydration until they die unless they receive medical attention. Simply drinking water will not work fast enough to save the victim.

Description: This doujutsu is a bad one to have put on you in a fight. Through the link forged between the victim and the user, information is sent back across the link through direct eye contact. Every time the user makes eye contact with the victim, the victims surface thoughts are projected back to the user and since in the heat of battle all you have time to think about is what you're going to do next, your next move is known before you even make it. The user can practically read the mind of the victim and in a way see the future. This technique is also used in interrogations for obvious reasons. This genjutsu is more or less unbreakable unless it can be explained just how they are aware they are under the effects of the jutsu.
Drawbacks: requires eye contact to get a thought. The mind reading effect only works while the user is making eye contact with a victim.

It paralyzes and numbs parts of the body of the victim. it is more advanced than the usual paralysis techniques in A- how it does it, and B- in that it can target specific parts of the victim's psyche. this jutsu could paralyze an arm, a leg, a finger, or even the eyelids, making them relax and close.

(a generally unlikely feat given the time and amount of training needed to reach this level of mastery of the Nanashikisaigan)

The victims own chakra actually destroys there body from the inside and they are incapable of continuing to live.

Description: this jutsu causes the victim to cry profusely, more rapidly than normally possible there is a constant trickle of water flowing from the victims eyes. the victim slowly dehydrates as all of the water in their body is removed. This causes unconsciousness and serious organ damage after a while ultimately resulting in death if they do not receive medical attention soon after unconsciousness. It takes a few minutes for all the water to be expelled so for the full effect to take place the user must keep the victim busy long enough.
Drawbacks: The user must make eye contact with the victim and this jutsu requires quite a bit of chakra to use.
Lasting Effects:The victim becomes dehydrated and suffers the symptoms of dehydration until they die unless they receive medical attention. Simply drinking water will not work fast enough to save the victim.

Description: This doujutsu is a bad one to have put on you in a fight. Through the link forged between the victim and the user, information is sent back across the link through direct eye contact. Every time the user makes eye contact with the victim, the victims surface thoughts are projected back to the user and since in the heat of battle all you have time to think about is what you're going to do next, your next move is known before you even make it. The user can practically read the mind of the victim and in a way see the future. This technique is also used in interrogations for obvious reasons. This genjutsu is more or less unbreakable unless it can be explained just how they are aware they are under the effects of the jutsu.
Drawbacks: requires eye contact to get a thought. The mind reading effect only works while the user is making eye contact with a victim.

Description: this Ninjutsu sends chakra into the brain of the victim and into the nervous system, from there the electric chakra increases the voltage of the bioelectricity created by the victims nerves. this first causes the victim a great deal of pain then shuts down the nerves in that area. the area goes numb and can't be moved. essentially this jutsu is like blowing a circuit in the victim and can specifically target parts of the body. It paralyzes and numbs parts of the body of the victim. it is more advanced than the usual paralysis techniques in A- how it does it, and B- in that it can target specific parts of the victim's psyche. this jutsu could paralyze an arm, a leg, a finger, or even the eyelids, making them relax and close.

Description: This Jutsu allows the user to give vocal commands to the victim. The victim is then forced to follow these commands to the best of their ability but can attempt to resist and they can try to break the genjutsu but the only people capable of breaking this technique when a Santinohiko uses it against them, is someone who is outright bette at genjutsu than the user. (a generally unlikely feat given the time and amount of training needed to reach this level of mastery of the Nanashikisaigan)

Description: This high level genjutsu is rarely used by the Santinohikos because it kills the victim. The victim is shown a skewed and modified version of their greatest fear. the victim is literally scared to death and thus their hair turns pure white and the blood in their body receeds in towards their body and their skin takes on a pale translucent tone. The victims own chakra actually destroys there body from the inside and they are incapable of continuing to live.

Description: This jutsu is performed by making the iris rapidly change colors and cycle through the colors of rainbow in order and the victim is put under a form of hypnosis. It is a complete and total form of hypnosis and the victim cannot break out of the jutsu by themselves. the victim can be given commands by the user and they will carry them out to the best of their ability using whatever means necessary and the user can give the victim a set of false memories that replace those of what happened while they were under the hypnosis.
