Description: Shintou Ayatsuri is the Kekkai Genkai of the Suijouki Clan. With their chakra, they can artificially increase the concentration of fluid in their cells. This triggers a natural process called "Osmosis", which causes their cells to absorb water from their surroundings, being anything from a puddle of water to the air itself, to compensate this difference in concentration and increase their size and weight. How long the user takes to fully load himself depends on the surroundings. In dry regions it could take various minutes, while it can be done nearly instantly while in contact with a source of water. The maximum amount of water absorbed depends on the skills of the user. Ofcourse, there is a maximum amount of water that can be absorbed before the cells burst. This is usually obtained at Jounin level.

By the same means, the user can lower the concentration in their cells in a blink of the eye, causing the cells to release water in the form of lose particles (steam) to once again even the concentration between them and their surroundings. This forms the basis of most Suijouki Clan techniques.

Background: The Suijouki Clan originates out of the time before the hidden villages were formed and all countries were submerged in chaos. Daimyos would hire random clans to function as an army rather than use their very own village to fight for them. In the middle of those years, a small, new clan arised between the larger ones. The Suijouki appeared.

Though the Fire Country has little water, the area around the borders with the more humid countries area known for having a significant amount of lakes. Among those large bodies of water, a group of people capable of storing and releasing water in their bodies excelled in combat. Though they had mainly fought for their own cause in the past, the majority of these people united and formed a clan, under the leadership of Suijouki Mizuni. Available for hiring, the Suijouki Clan became a wanted clan for combat in aquatic regions.

Soon enough, the hidden villages were formed and the clans were forced to side with a village. Kirigakure showed great interest in the Suijouki, yet they detesting the mists harsh training methods and sided with the more gentle Konoha instead. The Suijouki served the leaf well, yet unfortunately never really had the chance to bloom. Konohas setting appeared quite unfortunate for the water users, and a firm amount of casualities kept the clan from growing. That is still how things are these days. The Suijouki is somewhat small, yet loyal to the village and its ideals. Rumors spread of certain clanmembers planning to head for Kirigakure instead, as their setting is more fortunate and they dropped their cruel academy tests. For now however, all those rumors remain unconfirmed.
