SYNOPSIS

Tsuyoshi is the current leader of Kusagakure, he promotes peace and the use of supplementary jutsu rather then actual fighting, unless a peaceful resolution is impossible. He is an expert of all medical ninjutsu, and rules his village as fairly as possible, taking in the opinions of his people before he makes a decision. He is renowned as being Kusa's Gentle Giant. However most other leaders think of him as weak.

PERSONALITY

Tsuyoshi is a very depressing person, to talk to, to be around, and even hear about. He never really shows any emotion in what he does. He is very unfeeling and uncaring towards any except for his family. He goes on missions, completes them, and collects his money. He shows no real ambition for doing anything. He has been like this most of his life, ever since the death of his mother when he was only three. It hit him the hardest, because he was extremely young, and did no quite understand why the were burying her. His mother died giving birth to his youngest sister Chiyo, which made most people not like her all that much. However Tsuyoshi was always a very forgiving person, and took his little sister under his wing to teach her everything that she needed to know. While generally coming off as cold and uncaring, he is a very compassionate person who is a lot of fun to be around once you befriend him. Which is actually rather easy.

HISTORY

Tsuyoshi was born in a small town ten miles or so away from Kusagakure. It was a rather small little village that showed no real ties towards the actual shinobi village. Most of the people there had been trained in the shinobi arts and considered themselves to be their own village which they called Takegakure, or the Hidden Bamboo village. Kusa never really bothered with them all that much, but the did not approve of there being two shinobi villages in the same country. The Daimyo at the time,however, did not care as long as the shinobi of the villages would do what was needed. Kusa eventually took over Take and made it an outpost of the village. This all happened around the time that Tsuyoshi was born. He was born into a war torn village and country. His father was a Kusa loyalist, and his mother was born and raised in Take. He was not so much her husband as he was there to make more shinobi for Kusa. His father was a cold, mean drunk who beat his older brother and his mother. He did not live this life style for long though. When he was three years old his mother gave birth to a daughter, and apparently died in child birth. At least that was what Tsuyoshi was always told, when in reality she was killed for not producing a third son. His brother did know what had really happened though, and killed his father in his sleep ten years later. He then told Tsuyoshi what had really happened. His brother waited ten years so that he knew that his little brother would be able to take care of himself. He had been a Genin for a full year now and his sister had just entered the academy a few years ago. Osamu fled the village killing every Kusa-loyalist he could find. Tsuyoshi never found out what happened to his brother, but as far as he know he had died. He later went to Kusagakure to study there with his sister.

After the lose of his mother, father and brother Tsuyoshi devoted the rest of his life to getting stronger and protecting his little sister at all costs. He went to go live with a quickly aging grandfather who taught him the family Hijutsu and trained him very well. He decided that he did not really like the idea of killing because of the pain that it brought, but rather he wanted to be on the battle field protecting his comrades. He kept his killing instinct, and always attacked with the intent of killing his opponent, but focused more on healing then anything else. At the age of fifteen he entered the Chunin exams and passed for his extreme knowledge of medical ninjutsu, and his ability to fight and win without killing. He immediately became an Iryōnin and trained hard to become stronger and doing his best to save the lives of the people he cared about, and his fellow shinobi. It was not long at all after he became a Chunin that he was awarded the title of Tokubetsu Jōnin for his superb skill in Ninjutsu. He was one of the few Iryōnin who did not focus on Taijutsu all that much, although he did still have some skill in it. His skills would later be truly realized, and he would be made the Ruler of Kusagakure.
